our story
Built on experience and tradition
Taylor Callaghan spent nearly 12 years advising on some of commercial real estate's most complex transactions across Melbourne, London, and New York, most recently as Vice Chairman of a global advisory firm. Over his career, he advised on more than $13 billion of transactions.
That experience allowed him to spot a gap in Italian hospitality between local access and US institutional standards. He founded Certosa Capital to bring the two together, grounded in his relationships across Italy.
The firm is named for the Certosa di San Giacomo, a 14th-century Carthusian monastery on Capri whose monks held that meaningful work is done in silence and with patience. Certosa invests in that spirit, as a custodian of the heritage entrusted to it and of the capital it deploys.
